·       Oil fell for a fourth day, set for the longest run of losses in six weeks, as a rise in U.S. fuel stockpiles spurred concern that demand is waning in the world’s biggest crude consumer

·       Equity markets traded cautiously as progress on the US-China trade deal was questioned after President Trump tweeted that it still has a long way to go

·       SA retail sales surprises to the upside; UK CPI unchanged at BOE target
